ABOUT DR. BAHRAM JAM, D.Sc.PT, M.PHty, B.Sc.PT, FCAMT

Bahram Jam graduated from the University of Toronto, Canada in 1992 with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy. In 1999 he completed a Clinical Masters in Manipulative Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland, Australia and in 2009 he completed his Doctorate in Science in Physical Therapy at Andrews University, USA. He has the Canadian Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy and is also credentialed with the McKenzie Institute International.

He is the founder and director of Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute (APTEI) and has been a chief instructor for over six hundred post-graduate Orthopaedic clinical courses across Canada and internationally. He continues to practice and has had extensive clinical experience with direct patient care.

ABOUT DR. ABBAS VARAMINI, D.Sc.PT, M.Sc.P.T., B.Sc.P.T.

Abbas Varamini graduated from the University of Tehran, Iran in 1992 with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy. In 1998 he completed the clinical masters program in Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney, Australia receiving a Master of Science degree. He was a clinical instructor / lecturer and the head of the research program at the University of Zahedan under-graduate Physiotherapy program.

He is currently completing the Osteopathy program in Toronto, Canada and continues to practice and has extensive clinical experience with direct patient care.

He has been an associate APTEI instructor since 2003 focusing on evidence based classification and management of the lumbo-pelvic pain.

ABOUT DEBBIE PATTERSON, P&OT Dip. M.C.P.A.

Debbie Patterson is a graduate of the University of Toronto. She has practiced physiotherapy for over 30 years. She has had a special interest in the treatment of chronic pain for the last 18 years having completed many courses and programs on this complex and intriguing topic. She is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain. Debbie continues to be involved with direct patient care, and presents workshops to health care professionals involved with chronic pain patients, and to people in the community who are living with pain.

She has been an associate APTEI instructor teaching post-graduate Chronic Pain Management courses since 2003.

ABOUT JACKIE SAMPSON-STEWART, BHScPT, B.Kin., Acupuncture, Pilates, Dance

Jackie Sampson-Stewart is a manual physiotherapist practicing privately in the regions surrounding Hamilton, Ontario. She incorporates Pilates-based exercises in an Orthopaedic setting within a diverse patient population. Jackie teaches group mat classes and private Pilates in Dundas, Ontario. She has been teaching Pilates for almost a decade and integrates the Stott-based Pilates Method in conjunction with rehabilitative principles for her clients.

She has been an associate APTEI instructor teaching post-graduate Pilates courses since 2006.
